@Element-XP0I made my first electronic without a tutorial!
@AriMastor05 months into this project and it's finally finished! This is a gadget geocache for my local maker space. Custom PCB (funded by Onboard) interfaced with an Arduino for controlling LEDs in the eyes, giving instructions on how to solve the puzzle through the speaker, checking the password entered, and controlling a solenoid to open the hatch on the bottom when the puzzle is solved. Hand crank on the side turns a geared stepper motor to charge supercapacitors that provide enough power to last a few minutes so nobody has to worry about charging or replacing batteries. The whole thing is covered in epoxy for weatherproofing. Hopefully, it will be up and running in a week or so!
@DillonB073Got my domain reactivated today, all my services are back online :yayy:
@cupcakes7+My PR about L-systems for blot got accepted and merged! How exciting :yay:
@cupcakes7+Working on the PCB workshop for #blossom!
@Kieran0day 10 of #10-days-in-public! we've done it! today I mostly coded for my teams robot and got shooting, climbing, and arm elevation working! I also submitted a garmin developer api request and did some dev tools sluthing to find the unoffical apis for integration with my website. to bask in the glory of a whole 10 days completed you can still view stats at m.kieranklukas.com/s/10daysinpublic including detailed stats per user at m.kieranklukas.com/s/10daysinpublic/userid@dav0Day 9 of #10-days-in-public
Loads of progress on the game today. Yesterday, I wanted to implement multicore rendering, but I was very disappointed to find that the sprig's rp2040 doesn't have an efficient way to pass messages between cores for rendering. Because of this, even if it was implemented, the performance improvement would probably be negligible. After cutting my losses, I actually began to play test my game (yay). I changed the colors of the game to make it less jarring to stare at and added some speed progression. Now, the game gradually increases in speed, and when you die, the game actually ends. I also spent an hour trying to get the web version of the game up. My highest score while was 12.5K. If you would like to attempt to beat my score, you can now play a web version <https://davnotdev.github.io/subwaysprigsters|here>, or if you have a sprig, you can install subway sprigsters from the github here._
@courtney0Late update, but day 6 of #10-days-in-public!! I didn't do any coding today, but I read up on web design so my website will look better! I also worked through more lessons to refresh my memory :yay:
@cupcakes7+Day 4 of #10-days-in-public! Watched a youtube video on how to use the results from my image classification model (so many fancy words that I now understand! yay!)
@courtney0Day 2 :yay: #10-days-in-public --- It's crazy how much I've forgotten in a year 😭 so I'm starting to go through the freecodecamp course as a refresher. I also finished setting up my github account. I'm trying to think of creative/cool names for my website too!
@Briyan0Got the chance to meet and take a picture with our India's one and only PM, Narendra Modi! (I'm the guy behind the yellow dressed lady) (yes this is a screenshot from doordharshan, the original photo will be sent to us only after review and editing)
@Kieran0retention graph for my #blot video; not too bad overall; currently hovering around 5-6% retention for the main portion of the video
checkout www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jw7PQFWcE_U to watch it!
@karmanyaahm1Musical Keyboard v2 is here! Enjoy cheaper production, lighter weight, daisy chaining support, and some really cool (and other really gross) microscope shots!
@brunoblaise 0Finally I am the first on github contribution this month in my home country hope to keep the title a till the end of the year
@Aileen0Hey friends! :hyper-dino-wave: I was inspired by the power of computation and design and really wanted to print a vase as a gift for a family member for their birthday! Since there have been constant hard freeze warnings, they won't be able to go outside and look at their plants, so I made sure to add some live plants they can care for.
Also, I was quite surprised. I got good sleep while the vase was being printed for 4 hours lol.
@cwalker0Put something together in OnShape. This took me maybe 20 minutes. I’m finally gittin gud!!
@ZaynB0Hosted a casual post-Kickoff event for FRC today! Had a blast hearing about how different teams approached kickoff, hearing about first experiences coming into FIRST and reminiscing with FIRST veterans! :first::partyparrot:
Maybe looking forward to holding more in the future...!
@cupcakes7+100 days is over! It's been so much fun to make mini-projects with this challenge 💖
Happy new year!!
@RyanDiLorenzo-U04JGJN2B400My LED light strip project is basically done, just in time for New Years Dinner! I used an open source program called WLED on a Wemos D1 Mini (ESP8266). I bought a 12V 50A PSU (overkill for 2 light strips) to power 2 WS2815 12V LED light strips (planning to add more). All I need to do is safety proof it by adding a fuse and wrapping everything in electrical tape, and it should be good.
@jdogcoder1Soooooo much #purplebubble work today, including a working website, HCB account activated, and lots of github and other administrative work.
@Aram0:sprig-dino: Ship!
Made my first sprig game (after way too much procrastination) and got it approved!
It's a maze game between two people to get through mazes and eventually to the end!
@Korra0I got a promotion at work!! (in title only lmao) :sunglas:
